DML-LFV: Light Field Video Dataset

Overview: This dataset was created using the Lytro Illum camera. It consists of Lytro LFR images and the corresponding "RAW" (decoded Lytro) files.

Light Field ImagingLight field acquisition schemes are implemented by the means of sampling the 4D plenoptic function to measure radiance color and intensity values for the light rays flowing in different directions. Unlike traditional cameras, which only capture the scene from a single viewpoint, light field cameras capture the same scene from different viewpoints. Lytro ILLUM uses an array of microlenses that are placed in front of the photosensor to capture the full 4D spatial and angular information. The microlens samples the light rays that goes through it into a sub-aperture image on this array, forming images of the same scene with different view angles.
