UBC Digital Multimedia Lab was founded and directed by Dr. Panos Nasiopoulos.
The Lab focuses on research and development in the areas of emerging video technologies with focus on:
- Intelligent digital media
- Visual information capture and delivery (compression)
- Video and image quality
- Artificial intelligence in digital media with focus on entertainment, security, autonomous driving, smart cities and health
